Ontological diversity in urban self-organization: Complexity, critical realism and post-structuralism

چکیده

As urban self-organization grows into a key concept in spatial planning—explaining spontaneous transformations—the understandings and applications of the divert. This article turns to ontological dimension scrutinizes how critical realist post-structuralist ontology inspire theoretical practices, analytical tendencies, empirical readings, subsequent planning interventions relation self-organization. is illustrated with an example self-organized regeneration deprived street Rotterdam, Netherlands. With this contribution, we aim create self-awareness among scholars studying invite them reflect on their positions complement, deviate, potentially challenge or those others. We argue that by clarifying diversity self-organization, practices complexity-informed can be further deepened enriched.
